The current no.1 of Austria, Thomas Einwaller, has announced his retirement from international refereeing. He confirmed that towards the Pay-TV-channel "Sky". He has however not given any reason for this step so far, but he stated that he will explain his decision during this day in a official ÖFB-announcement.
Einwaller is currently classified by UEFA in the Elite Development Group. Even though his countryman Schörgenhofer could have overtaken him, he is recently the no.1 of Austria. The insets in the Olympic Games 2008 and the FIFA U17 World Cup 2009 in Egypt count to his most important experiences as referee.
"There are especially two reasons for my decision. On the one hand, the temporal effort has become -with regard to a professional preparation - larger and larger, and on the other hand, my both longtime assistant referees Roland Heim and Norbert Schwab will not be available due to their career endings in 2012", Einwaller explained.
