Wolfgang Stark has informed against a Berlin player

Following the scandalizing circumstances during the last minutes of the Bundesliga relegation match between Fortuna Düsseldorf and Hertha BSC Berlin, Bavarian referee Wolfgang Stark has officially informed against a player of the capital's club.

After the restart of the match and the final whistle, a throng of Hertha BSC players is said to have chased Stark on his way into the dressing room. According to DFB, the Georgian player Levan Kobiashvili has attacked him by fisting Stark in the area of his shoulder or neck.

Düsseldorf's police department confirmed an existing report of that, however refused to name the player who is concerned.
DFB has started investigations against five players, including Kobiashvili and other players for having insulted the referees, having inflamed bengalos in the catacombs and for a violent conduct against an opponent. The German football arbitral tribunal will today decide whether Hertha's appeal to make void the result of the match and to appoint a replay can be accepted in compliance with the DFB statutes.
