When having been appointed to accompany Howard Webb in UEFA Champions League's Semifinal First leg between Bayern München and Real Madrid, the English top assistant referee Mike Mullarkey has taken note of his 8th inset in this season's roster.
It was furthermore his 25th appointment ever in the world's most popular and prestigious club competition.

In addition to this, Mike Mullarkey may exhibit an extra-ordinary high amount of tournament experience along with Webb. He also participated in UEFA EURO 2008, where he (wrongly) did not raise his flag for offside which led to a goal. For this reason, the English team was sent home after the group stage.
